Lav\u00ednov\u00e9 nebezpe\u010denstvo sa zn\u00ed\u017eilo na MAL\u00c9 &#8211; 1.stupe\u0148, ktor\u00e9 sa na ju\u017en\u00fdch svahoch popoludn\u00ed menilo na MIERNE, 2.stupe\u0148. febru\u00e1ra kedy sa mierne ochladilo, zamra\u010dilo sa a pripadlo p\u00e1r cm nov\u00e9ho snehu.  \u010eal\u0161ia, v\u00fdraznej\u0161ia zmena nastala pr\u00e1ve dnes r\u00e1no (22.2), kedy pre\u0161iel Slovenskom studen\u00fd front od severu, priniesol sne\u017eenie (najm\u00e4 v noci a r\u00e1no) a v\u00fdrazne sa ochladilo, resp. sa ochladzuje. Teplota vzduchu na hor\u00e1ch klesne do ve\u010dera o cca 10\u00b0C. Sne\u017eenie spolu so siln\u00fdm vetrom prich\u00e1dzalo od severu, preto na severe Tatier pripadlo aj najviac nov\u00e9ho snehu: 10 &#8211; 20 cm. V ostatn\u00fdch pohoriach v\u00e4\u010d\u0161inou 5 &#8211; 10 cm. Samotn\u00e9 mno\u017estvo snehu by nepredstavovalo podstatn\u00e9 zv\u00fd\u0161enia lav\u00ednov\u00e9ho nebezpe\u010denstva, ale karty n\u00e1m op\u00e4\u0165 zamie\u0161al vietor. Ten f\u00fakal ve\u013emi siln\u00fd, preva\u017ene severn\u00fd alebo severoz\u00e1padn\u00fd a mno\u017estvo nov\u00e9ho snehu pref\u00fakal na z\u00e1vetern\u00e9 svahy, najm\u00e4 J, JV a V expoz\u00edci\u00ed. Tu sa vytvorili nestabiln\u00e9 snehov\u00e9 dosky a naviate vank\u00fa\u0161e previateho snehu, ktor\u00e9 pri dodato\u010dnom za\u0165a\u017een\u00ed predstavuj\u00fa nebezpe\u010denstvo uvo\u013enenia lav\u00edny. Lav\u00ednov\u00e9 nebezpe\u010denstvo preto v glob\u00e1le st\u00faplo na MIERNE 2. stupe\u0148, no je ve\u013emi rozdielne aj v r\u00e1mci jednej doliny.
