Teplota na \u017diarskej chate (1285 m n. m.) vyst\u00fapila 24.12. a\u017e nad 4\u00b0C. Oteplenie bolo spojen\u00e9 aj s da\u017e\u010fom a pr\u0161alo aj vo vysok\u00fdch horsk\u00fdch poloh\u00e1ch. Na \u0161tedr\u00fd de\u0148 a po \u0148om e\u0161te padali samovo\u013en\u00e9 lav\u00edny. Sneh bol bol \u00faplne premo\u010den\u00fd. N\u00e1sledn\u00e9 ochladenie 26.12.2017 z neho spravilo klzisko. Bez ma\u010diek a \u010dakana, bol pohyb \u017eivotu nebezpe\u010dn\u00fd. Na tak\u00e9to nepriazniv\u00e9 podmienky doplatilo nieko\u013eko turistov vo Vysok\u00fdch Tatr\u00e1ch. \u0160tyria z nich bohu\u017eia\u013e pri\u0161li o \u017eivot. Nieko\u013eko dn\u00ed nepripadol \u017eiadny nov\u00fd sneh a prevl\u00e1dalo slne\u010dn\u00e9 po\u010dasie. N\u00e1sledne sa situ\u00e1cia zmenila a na hor\u00e1ch bolo ve\u013emi veterno. Prevl\u00e1dalo ju\u017en\u00e9 pr\u00fadenie. Vo \u0161tvrtok postupne pri\u0161li aj zr\u00e1\u017eky. V podhor\u00ed spo\u010diatku pr\u0161alo a sne\u017eilo a\u017e od 1200 m n.m. Zo \u0161tvrtka na piatok d\u00e1\u017e\u010f pre\u0161iel do sne\u017eenia.
