Front\u00e1lny syst\u00e9m postupoval od juhoz\u00e1padu, preto najv\u00e4\u010d\u0161ia snehov\u00e1 n\u00e1dielka zastihla N\u00edzke Tatry. Tu bolo dovtedy relat\u00edvne m\u00e1lo snehu,\u00a0 teplotn\u00fd gradient bol priazniv\u00fd pre vytv\u00e1ranie nebezpe\u010dn\u00e9ho hranatozrnn\u00e9ho snehu pod \u013eadovou vrchnou vrstvou k\u00f4ry. Zr\u00e1\u017eky s\u00edce neboli v\u00fddatn\u00e9, ale padali za s\u00fa\u010dinnosti siln\u00e9ho vetra. Ten previeval aj e\u0161te nepreviazan\u00fd sneh z\u00a0poslednej peri\u00f3dy sne\u017eenia na J a\u00a0JV svahy, kde sa vytvorili snehov\u00e9 vank\u00fa\u0161e a\u00a0dosky, ktor\u00fdch stabilita bola\u00a0 n\u00edzka. Najsilnej\u0161\u00ed vietor bol v\u00a0stredu 6.12.2017, kedy dosahoval v\u00a0najvy\u0161\u0161\u00edch poloh\u00e1ch r\u00fdchlos\u0165 v\u00a0n\u00e1razoch 31m\/s ( 112 km\/h ). Preto moment\u00e1lne plat\u00ed zv\u00fd\u0161en\u00fd stupe\u0148 (3) lav\u00ednov\u00e9ho nebezpe\u010denstva vo v\u0161etk\u00fdch pohoriach.
